Dog Saved With Pet Medic
Love My Medic. I ordered a Pet Pack with 10 Essentials and a book.
Little did I know I would need something so soon.
My son's 8 mo. old Golden Retriever came in on New Year's bleeding pretty heavy, from her Right Front paw. Cut herself somewhere in the backyard, but thankfully my My Medic order with the Pet Pack was up the steps on the couch! I ordered this for hiking but will need to reorder, soon. Thank You My Medic!!
Air Force Hero
I wanted to say that your message kit I purchased has come in handy besides bandaids and sunblock. I drove up on a bad wreck back in October and had to use the equipment to assist in stabilizing a life because it took over 30 minutes to get first responders on the scene. Me being military, the Air Force ran a story on it and I have won a pretty big award for it. I wanted to say that without your equipment, I would have been operating in a very unsanitary situation with napkins and towels and no gloves handling a lot of blood. And during the pandemic, it would have been pretty nerve-racking. Now it’s time to restock on supplies that I’ve used.
Sturgis Rally Riders
Here’s why I ordered… We were at the Sturgis motorcycle rally and out of twelve riders I was the only one with a first aid kit! Used up EVERY single wrap, bandage, cleanser…. Funniest thing was when the paramedics showed up and he glanced at my first aid and exclaimed: “OMG! You’ve got a suture kit in there! Were you planning to sew him up?” Me: “Uh, yeah… if I had too.” The incident has been a source of humor among riders. The week after returning from Sturgis I joined 20 riders for an ADV ride through Yosemite National Park and onto Mammoth Mountain area. First day, 300 miles ridden, with 20 miles to go I wound up breaking my leg in soft sand! Fracture of the distal fibula… wasn’t even sure it was broken till following day when I finally went for X-rays. Yes, I had my My Medic with me… so did our Tour Leader!
Nurse Mom Saves Child
10yr old hit back door yelling our 8yr old 'broke glass and cut foot'. On the way to the backyard, I grabbed the recon kit from my vehicle. As a former EMT & now an RN, I was confident I would have whatever was needed. Thankfully, it was superficial and the kit had perfect cleaning & bandaging supplies. I keep a MyMedic kit in each vehicle & highly recommend them.
Leg Vs. Chainsaw
Just wanted to say thank you for having badass medkits. My leg got into a fight with my chainsaw two days ago and let’s just say my leg didn’t win. With the contents of the kit I have, I was able to cut my pant leg off, get the wound cleaned and wrapped up so I could make my way to the ER. I got pretty lucky. Doc told me if it would have gone a 1/4in deeper we would have had some serious problems. Thanks again. Be prepared 🤙🏼
Mechanic Uses MicroMend
I have used this kit twice now. I am an Auto/Truck Technician and I get cuts on my hands all the time. One of the cuts I used this on was fairly deep... it healed in half the time compared to stitches. Many cuts are just clean but deep and I need stitches to keep them from bleeding, the only problem is getting that done adds more trauma and pain to the area. My hand modeling career is long over, but this will leave less of a scar too! I saw a negative review on amazon about the metal barbs hurting, that person has obviously never had thread and needle put through them... and should be less of a crybaby :-) I plan to use these on most of my cuts in the future, the only ones I wouldn't are the cuts I won't go to the ER for anyway - something more than cutting into flesh... I have a hand specialist for that.
Bystander Stabilizes Biker
Hi guys,
I just wanted to send a quick note and say I had to use my tourniquet and some supplies from my first aid kit today. While on my motorcycle I came upon a motorcycle accident with one rider involved. He had a severe left leg injury. I could see his quad - his leg was filleted open. His calf had a deep laceration to it as well with adipose tissue and muscle showing. I immediately realized he needed a tourniquet to be applied. Thankfully I had my C-A-T with me. I immediately applied that and began dressing the wounds. I then was able to do a secondary assessment as the local fire department paramedics arrived. They were so pumped that I had a tourniquet and used it.
Thank you for having the products you have!!!
Help Is Further Than You Think
We live in the country outside of Denver. I was installing a new sliding glass door and I had to use a saw to cut some siding. The saw hit a nail and flew out of my hands and fell on my foot, cutting it severely. 19 stitches across my heel. My two daughters were at home and immediately ran and got MyMedic kit. We used the blood clotting pad, gauze pad and tourniquet. They then threw me in the car and went to the emergency room almost 20 minutes away. When we arrived at the hospital, the ER doctor asked me are you ex-military? I am so I said yes and I ask why she asked that. She explained that they don't see this kind of medical equipment in the public's hands and it most likely saved my foot and my life. It was a really eye opening experience for me and since then I have bought kits for my kids cars in case they need them. Thank you so much for having the recon kit available. I carry it everywhere now!
